Abdominal Reduction

This is also called an abdominoplasty or “tummy tuck”. In this cosmetic surgery procedure excess skin and fat are removed, abdominal contours and scars improved and the muscles tightened. Any looseness of the muscles of the abdominal wall or hernia can be repaired at the same time. Different procedures, such as liposuction may be combined with a tumy tuck / abdominoplasty to achieve these results for you.

Who is a candidate for a tummy tuck / abdominoplasty?

If you have excess abdominal skin and fat you may be a candidate for this plastic surgery / cosmetic surgery procedure. With women the problem is usually caused by pregnancy, but is made worse by weight loss. Men are similarly affected by weight loss and may benefit from an abdominoplasty / tummy tuck. If you are unable to tighten the abdominal wall skin with exercise or wish to achieve a smoother flatter abdomen you will also benefit from a tummy tuck / abdominoplasty.
